     Peter Zhou now is  in charge of  steel work fabrication supervision, including daily safety /progress/safety/quality activities; reviewing and approve material purchase orders /monthly production plan ; monitoring the fabrication&NDT&painting &packing and delivery schedule that prepared by  QMW sub-contractors for ensure compliance with project delivery requirement;

   In charge of  this project overall  construction safety management issue, included JSA/PTW review and approval for heavy lifting activities/working on the height ;hot work/confine space ;supervised the project daily tools box meeting/JSA/construction method/labor resource/material MSDS /certificates validation ; especially on confine space/equipment operation/fuel gas filling/coating/hot work/work on height/heavy lift and the areas when a flammable medium(gas/vapor/mists/dust,...etc) was present to a dangerous quantity.    Peter has worked for Alfasi (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd., at MHI factory (Modern Heavy Industries Co. Ltd) in Shanghai, directly report to Eiffel Tower project manager in Alfasi (Macao) office.

   The productions in this project at MHI supplier was including the whole Eiffel Tower steel fabrication work and the mechanical supports for HVAC system/elevator manufacturing /lighting and electrical system, total about 2000tons steelworks fabricated with one link bridge between the tower and new Venetian restaurant building, the overall height of Eiffel tower in Macao is about 338 meters and site erection work was completed by June of 2016.

   His major job was that:

   Coordinated and supervised all steel work fabrication progress/quality activities; reviewing and approve all purchase orders /monthly production plan /delivery schedule that prepared by supplier and sub-contractors for ensure compliance with the contract requirement; manage the variations from supplier/sub-contractors; control and manage all QA responsibilities ;submit weekly QA/QC report/monthly production schedule report to Hong Kong head-office; reviewed and approved all the final QC dossiers from supplier, including the production delivery list, as built drawings, SDM/NCR closed,.....etc; take some of other responsibilities on site work from the project manager.

80MW DC furnace Construction supervisor –Koniambo Nickle Plant (KNP)Project in New Caledonia

KNP Nickel Plant is located at Vavouto Koniambo massif in New Caledonia north side. It is the biggest and most important plant for New Caledonia’s economic redistribution and industry development, the design production capacity is above 60000 tons/year high pure nickel mining.

Peter was assigned in A300 smelter plant as a Construction supervisor in this project, and his major responsibility was to supervise 80MW DC furnace(total 2 units for both production lines ) overall construction work, including safety consul-ant on construction site:  

      Daily monitoring firefighting protection/explosion proof situation on construction site, inspected the electrical tools/equipments and materials and make sure to used properly around area of zone 0/zone 1/zone 2  ,Supervised the project daily tools box meeting/JSA/construction method/labor resource/material MSDS /certificates validation ; especially on confine space/equipment operation/fuel gas filling/coating/hot work/work on height/heavy lift and the areas when a flammable medium(gas/vapor/mists/dust,...etc) was present to a dangerous quantity. Used gas detection/fire and smoke detectors to check and reduce the fire accident/explosion hazard risk in time.

     Daily cooperated with the project contractor - CMIIC  for ensuring construction progress/QC management be under control of Xstrata Nickel client, daily monitoring and advised on construction safety issue,like fireproof  protection,height work , explosion equipment inspected and testing around furnace construction area;working out the mobilization plan of equipment&material&labor from CMIIC according to project workload and schedule requirement;  reviewing and approved the related lift study plan and PTW before heavy lift activities from job site; reviewing CMIIC 's  monthly/weekly construction progress.

In this period, he was closely working and supervising all the construction works which related to 80MW DC furnace installation and mechanical completion hand over works, including the activities from equipment preservation&receiving inspection & protection, heavy pieces transportation & pre-assembly work and all the furnace mechanical installation activities  on site, such as furnace sidewall /BSR/FSR/ roof panels /belly banding system/cathode bus bar/anode bus bar/  maintenance cranes/ plate coolers &cooling water pipes/refractory / hearth exhaust fans/feed pipes/electrode additional machine/ electrode arm hydraulic system/furnace transformer room HVAC system/ore feed weigh bin/coal day bin,…...etc. He has successfully completed both production lines of DC furnace construction and pre-commissioning work.

At this period, peter was assigned as a fabrication  superintendent in client which come from Canada Xstrata Nickel,  his primary responsibility was to supervise  steel structure fabrication  progress safety and quality activity management from  the project contractor -ZPMC (Zheng Hua Port Mechanical Company ) in China and sub-contractor -SCK from Japan,  the major construction work in this project was that for smelter plant steel structure fabrication & pre-assembly work ;process pipeline pre-fabrication work; and also including the equipment foundations & pipe racks& cable trays  fabrication work in A200 utility facility area; final packaging &shipment work to NC site after all pre-assembly work completed.  

He was in charge of steel structures construction management  through pre- fabrication to assembly and packaging& shipment work,  daily coordinated the field construction activities with Xstrata Nickel client from Canada and the third party from BV; supervised and coordinated with ZPMC on site for the steel structure construction schedule/technical issue /lift equipment/facilities and safety management; daily  monitored contractor field construction manpower plan; issue steel structure material PO list ; monitored and supervised ZPMC shop drawing & construction procedure& structure panel erection lift method implement at workshop, verified field construction TQ &design change work and NCR completion status, punch list works final confirm before packing and shipment,…..etc.

Peter has been successfully supervised about 23000tons steel structures workshop fabrication& assembly &packaging and shipping work; also including 1500tons’ process piping fabrication & hydro-test work and 500tons cable tray fabrication work.

In this project, Peter has been successfully accomplished 6 oil& gas platforms 'steel  structure fabrication and erection work- WHPC (Wellhead platform-C), WHPB, RUP /WHPD/WHPE/WHPF ,which involved  6 jackets foundation construction  & FPSO Bohai Peng Bo -117 ship SYMS yoke system and one flotation tank construction ;successfully completed these  platforms’ static &dynamic equipment installation inspection work(total 600 units, around 100 units per module), included marine crane, chemical injection skid, generator ,pumps, fireproof &safety & life save equipment, air conditions and HVAC duct through pre-assembly& erection to pre-commissioning work.....

This project is China's petrochemical industry with a world-class scale, international leading technology, world-class management level, the largest joint venture project, covering 2.6 square kilometers ,a total investment of 4.3 billion, annual production capacity about 800,000 tons.JGC Company as a world PMC leader for oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, it was carried out the engineering, equipment, material procurement, construction and commissioning for the heart of the complex, Lower Olefin Plant Unit in this project.

In this project, peter was assigned as an area construction superintendent in JGC company, his major job was that in charge of  LOP (Lower Olefin Plant Unit) and cracking Furnace and Quench Oil area’s equipment field installation work; and supervised 20,000 tons’ pipe racks’ steel structure fabrication/ erection work; daily coordinated field construction schedule/safety activities .

      In this project, peter was in charge of overall project safety management at construction site, his responsibility as that:

1997-1999 Mechanical Supervisor

Peter has worked for this company as a mechanical supervisor from Norway client about 2 years and  he was in charge of  three shipbuildings’ manufacturing supervision work on safety/schedule/quality...etc, including ballasting tank & fuel oil tank& lube oil tank &bilge tank& hydraulic oil tank fabrication work and water tight test before assembly; supervised the shipbuilding hull structure construction work through pr-fabrication to assembly work in port; supervised field construction works and make sure contractor construction progress under control in safety and good quality condition ;checked and work out closely with the rotating equipment alignment work to make sure all construction activities  in compliance with design drawings, project specification and applicable codes; daily monitoring and advised on construction safety issue,like fireproof  and escape plan,,height work protection, explosion equipment inspected and testing at construction site

 He has successfully completed 3 ship buildings manufacture , such as: 4x700 TEU container and 1x17600 Ton bulk carrier new shipbuilding ; 2x70M & 4x58.7M multipurpose new shipbuilding vessels.

In this project,peter has supervised Yangze River Three Gorges waterpower Station plant building and more than10,000 tons steel structure radial gates construction work through fabrication to  erection and pre-commssioning work.

1993-1995 Construction supervisor 

Sino hydro Bureau Eighth Co. of China, Shenzhen Mawan Firepower station Phase-II Project 

Peter has worked in this project as a steel structure construction supervisor in Shenzhen Mawan Firepower Plant Phase II project .He has successfully completed 15000 tons’ firepower plant steel structure/equipment foundation field erection work. His major job was to supervise project sub-contractor construction activity in field of safety/schedule& labor manpower and material &tools arrangement; daily coordinated with the project client /the third party Inspection Company from BV Company to ensure compliance with project quality& specifications& standards and schedule requirement;daily monitoring and advised on construction safety issue,like fireproof  protection,height work , confine space,explosion equipment inspected and testing at construction site.
