Creator and artist of the cartoon strip, "Swamp" which was first published in 1981. It appears in newspapers around Australia and Scandinavia. Swamp is also published in Sweden in the popular cartoon magazine, "Knasen".
The most popular character is Ding Duck - a duck who can't fly. Ding is known throughout the world in aviation circles.
The Swamp characters are licensed to a clothing company, Akashi Hifuku Kogyo Co in Japan who manufacture upmarket sport and casual wear. Their main focus is golf clothing. Ding Duck is the main character used in this license.
Expansion into the South Korean is planned as trade marks have been approved in South Korea and so licensed Swamp clothing will be available there soon.
Eight cartoon books have been self published with an Ebook in the creative process at present. Martin Leewis Publications are releasing a Ding Duck, aviation themed book later this year.
The Swamp characters have been used to endorse environmental and water quality issues in Australia.
Diesel Dog is another popular character created some 27 years ago for Truckin’ Life Magazine. After a long sabbatical, Diesel made a come-back in 2011 to the magazine and he has retained his popularity.
