Ms. Rugg interned with the Los Angeles Times at the age of 19 and then went on to work for the "The Citizen," a daily in New Hampshire after graduating from New England College. She changed gears and worked within the Construction Management industry, defining her Marketing and Public Relations skills, most recently holding the role as Director of Corporate Communications. After the Construction Management industry started to suffer, she moved to San Diego and started her business - New Point Public Relations. After running her business and free-lancing for pr firms, she was asked to join the team at BERKMAN as Account Supervisor, managing accounts for consumer products, hospitality, and health. Moving on to a Consultant role at BERKMAN, she is now the Director of Strategic Planning for My Social Marketing Network, overseeing social media, online PR accounts and handling new business. Ms. Rugg has competed in triathlons, road races and trail runs, loves traveling, is currently learning Portuguese, uses her Canon cameras often, makes health and wellness a great part of her everyday life, likes wine, sailing and reading up on social media, marketing and PR on a daily basis.
